(a) The hospitalization and insurance benefits of any employee of the Village who is terminated or removed from his position for cause shall be immediately discontinued.
(b) The hospitalization and insurance benefits of any employee of the Village who is laid off or whose job is abolished shall continue for a period of three months.
(c) The hospitalization and insurance benefits of any employee of the Village who is not working and is receiving Workers' Compensation for an injury suffered while working for the Village shall continue for a period of six months.
(d) Any hospitalization or insurance benefit terminated under subsection (b) or (c) hereof may be continued for an additional period of time by ordinance.
