953.08  REGULATIONS FOR OPERATION.
   (a)   All markers or monuments placed in Oakland Cemetery shall not exceed thirty-six inches in height and shall be of granite, marble, stone, brass, bronze, stainless steel or other material which will not deteriorate due to time or weather.
   (b)   All markers or monuments shall be placed at the head of the grave.  Footstones or memorials may be placed at the foot of the grave only if they are installed level with the existing grounds.
   (c)   All plots shall be marked at the corners of the plot by suitable markers approved by the Village Administrator.
   (d)   No memorial or marker shall be placed on any grave without its placement being approved by the Village Administrator or his designated representative.
   (e)   No trees or shrubs shall be planted on any grave. Existing trees and shrubs may remain provided they are properly maintained and trimmed. Any tree or shrub which is not properly maintained or which interferes with the maintenance of the cemetery may be removed at the discretion of the Village Administrator.
   (f)   No coping, curbing, fencing, or enclosures of any type will be permitted on any lot.  No stones, marble chips or similar material will be permitted on any lot.
   (g)   All plantings shall be made in front of the grave marker only and shall be in metal or other unbreakable containers. No artificial plants or flowers will be permitted between April 1 through October 31.
   (h)   No vehicles may be driven or placed off of the paved areas of the cemeteries without the permission of the Village Administrator.
   (i)   Any item placed in Oakland Cemetery in violation of the above regulations may be removed at the direction of the Village Administrator.
   (j)   Variances from the above regulations may be granted only upon written request to and approval by the Cemetery Committee of Council.
