§ 236.02 APPOINTMENT; TERM; VACANCY; RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT.
   The Street Commissioner shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by Council for a term of one year. A vacancy occurring in the office of the Street Commissioner shall be filled by the Mayor for the unexpired term. The Street Commissioner need not be a resident of the village at the time of appointment but must become a resident within six months, unless such requirement is waived by Council by ordinance.
