§ 230.01 HEALTH, MEDICAL AND DENTAL INSURANCE.
   (a)   Complete medical, dental and vision health insurance benefits shall be provided for the Mayor of the village during his or her term in office and shall include his or her spouse and dependent children as defined by the health insurance provider.
   (b)   Complete medical, dental and vision health insurance benefits are provided by the village provided that similar insurance is not already provided to the Mayor or the Mayor’s spouse by any other organization, company or agency, such as, but not limited to: retirement related health care benefits; veteran health care benefits; or benefits provided by an employer other than the village of the Mayor or Mayor’s spouse.
   (c)   These medical, dental and vision health insurance benefits are effective retroactively to July 26, 1991 in order to ratify the past actions of the Councils and the Fiscal Officer of the village.
   (d)   Changes in scope to the medical, dental and vision health insurance benefits shall not be made during a Mayor’s term in office except as necessary due to changes in administering these benefits through insurance providers and/or consortiums providing medical, dental and vision health insurance benefits. Any changes cannot conflict with the intention of this legislation which is to provide complete medical, dental and vision health insurance benefits to the Mayor and his or her spouse and dependent children.
