§ 1062.07 DUCK AND GEESE FEEDING AREA.
   (a)   Feeding ducks and geese at the Minerva Park Lakes and park areas will be limited to one designated area. Duck and geese feeding on the driveway, parking area, footpath and other areas around the lakes will be strongly discouraged.
   (b)   The one area where duck and geese feeding is encouraged is specified on the map attached to original Resolution 97-27, passed November 10, 1997, and is described as the flat wooded area between the shoreline of the Minerva Park South Lake on the south side, the Community Building driveway on the west side, the footpath in front of the parking area on the north side and, on the east side, the point where the parking area ends and the footpath and the lake are within a few feet of each other and the bank becomes steep.
   (c)   The intent of this section is to encourage residents and visitors to feed ducks and geese where the natural waste caused by the fowl will be absorbed into the ground and thus minimize any offensive or unsanitary conditions. To convey this message, this area will be marked on the Minerva Park Lakes informational sign as set forth in § 1062.08, and as part of other signs as needed.
