§ 21-202  DEFINITIONS.
   As used in this Part, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated, unless a different clearly appears from the context:
      Business day–any day not a Sunday or a national holiday.
      Business hours–hours between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on any business day.
      Cartway–portion of a street or highway improved, designed or ordinarily used for vehicular travel, exclusive of the berm or shoulder.
      Person–the word “person” as used in this Part, shall mean and include any natural person, partnership, firm, association or corporation. The singular shall include the plural and the masculine shall include the feminine.
      Sidewalk–portion of a street between the curb lines, or the lateral lines of a cartway, and the adjacent property lines, intended for use by pedestrians.
      Snow emergency or snow emergencies–shall be whenever the Mayor, and/or the majority of Borough Council determine that the snow storm or snow accumulation is dangerous to the health and welfare of the citizens of the Borough of Minersville.
      Snow emergency routes
         (1)   Defined as the following streets in the Borough of Minersville:
            (a)   North and south sides of Sunbury Street (Rt. 901) from Pottsville/Minersville Highway to Sixth Street.
            (b)   East and west side of Front Street from Sunbury Street to Forney Street.
            (c)   East and west side of South Third Street from Sunbury Street to Borough Line.
         (2)   The Mayor and/or the majority of Borough Council members may also designate additional snow emergency routes from time to time upon 24-hour notice to the residents of the street.
      Street or highway–the entire width between the boundary lines of a way publicly maintained when any part thereof is open to the use of the public for purposes of vehicular travel.
