§ 21-103  SPECIFICATIONS.
   The curb will be considered in need of repair or replacement when it is leaning, or severely cracked or deteriorated. Sidewalks will be considered in need of repair or replacement when the joints in the sidewalk are severely deteriorated, when there is an elevation difference between two separate sidewalk slabs, when there are large cracks in the sidewalk, or when the sidewalk is severely spalled or deteriorated. Concrete sidewalks shall be five inches thick, 4,000 PSI air entrained concrete reinforced with six by six - 10/10 welded wire mesh. Tooled control joints shall be placed ten feet - zero inches on center with one-half inch by five inch expansion joints 20 feet - zero inches on center. Joints shall be raked out three-fourths inch deep and filled with Sikaflex 1A - Limestone color as manufactured by Sika Corporation, or equal. Six inches of stone base shall be placed under the sidewalk. Concrete finish to be uniform swirl finish. Curbing shall be PennDOT Standard Plan Cement Concrete Curb.
