The planning commission shall elect a chairman and vice chairman each year, who shall be members appointed by the mayor and who shall hold office during the pleasure of the commission. (1956 Code § 9-003; amd. 1978 Code; Ord. 758, 6-10-1991)
The city manager shall select a secretary who need not be a member of the commission. The secretary shall keep an accurate record of all commission proceedings. The commission shall, on October 1 of each year, make and file a report of all its transactions with the city council. (1956 Code § 9-004; amd. 1978 Code)
Members of the planning commission will be required to be in regular attendance. If a member is absent without being excused by the chairman, for more than three (3) consecutive meetings, the position will be assumed vacant, and a new appointment will be made in the same manner as in any other vacancy on the commission.
