For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
ASHES. The residue of combustion of such fuels as wood, coal, coke, charcoal, and the like.
BULKY WASTE. Furniture, appliances and all other waste and discard that is generated from within a normal household, exclusive of motor vehicle parts.
COMMERCIAL REFUSE. All ashes and rubbish arising out of the operation of business and industry, excluding highly combustibles and all other refuse resulting from the ordinary operation of private residences or households.
GARBAGE. All animal and vegetable waste resulting from the handling, preparation, cooking and consumption of food. GARBAGE includes the perishable offal from the growing of fruit or vegetables but does not mean plants, vines, trees or bushes.
HIGHLY COMBUSTIBLE RUBBISH. All waste substances capable of exploding or highly inflam- mable material such as gunpowder, photographic plates or negatives, substances saturated with inflammable petroleum products, or the like.
RESIDENTIAL REFUSE. All ashes and rubbish resulting from the ordinary operation of private residences or households. RESIDENTIAL REFUSE shall not include contractor generated construction debris, any rubbish or waste material arising or accumulating from any building construction, improvement or repairs on any private premises or real estate nor shall it include any highly combustibles.
RUBBISH. All waste substances incapable of explosion, such as tin cans, tinware and other metallic substances, bottles, glassware, earthenware, ashes, leaves, grass clippings, paper and the like, excluding furniture and appliances.
