§ 31.53 CUSTODIAN OF CEMETERIES AND SEXTON.
   (A)   The Custodian of Cemeteries and Sexton shall have the care, custody and control of the cemeteries of the village, under the direction of the Cemetery Committee.
   (B)   The Custodian shall keep the cemeteries in a well-kept condition so that they may at all times be attractive for the repose therein of the remains of departed. He or she shall perform all duties of a sexton in the cemeteries.
   (C)   The Custodian shall make a report to the Board of Trustees on request of the condition of the cemeteries, and recommend such action for the purchase of supplies, equipment or for the sale of burial permits or maintenance of the cemeteries as he or she deems advisable.
   (D)   All Sexton fees collected or earned by him or her shall be the property of the village and shall be reported monthly by him or her to the Board of Trustees.
   (E)   The Custodian shall not permit any interments not complying with the provisions of the ordinances of the village, nor permit the erection of any markers or tombstones inconsistent with the provisions of the village ordinances.
