§ 31.51 SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS AND ALLEYS.
   (A)   It shall be the duty of the Superintendent of Streets and Alleys to superintend the opening, grading, construction and repairing of all streets, alleys and sidewalks, and of constructing and repairing all culverts and storm sewers within the village, under the direction of the Committee on Streets and Alleys.
   (B)   The Superintendent of Streets and Alleys shall superintend all breaking and repairing of the surface of any street or alley within the village, so that it shall not become hazardous to traffic or public safety.
   (C)   All tools, machinery, equipment and supplies for the care and maintenance of streets, alleys and sidewalks of the village shall be under his or her care, custody and control.
   (D)   The Superintendent shall make monthly reports to the Board of Trustees of his or her actions.
   (E)   The Superintendent shall attend all meetings of the Board of Trustees and there make report of the condition of his or her Department, with recommendations as to purchase of supplies, machinery, changes in operation or such other things that may properly come within his or her jurisdiction.
