§ 31.40 ELECTION; TERM; VACANCY.
   (A)   The President, by and with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees, shall appoint a Village Treasurer.
(ILCS Ch. 65, Act 5, § 3.1-30-5)
   (B)   The Treasurer may resign from his or her office. If the Treasurer resigns, he or she shall continue in office until his or her successor has been chosen and has qualified.
   (C)   The term of office of the Treasurer shall not exceed that of the President.
