§ 154.176 PROCEEDINGS OF ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT.
   The Zoning Board of Adjustment elect a Chairperson and a Vice Chairperson from its members, who serve for 1 or until reelected or until their successors are elected. The Board appoint a Secretary, who may be a town , an employee of the town, a member of the Planning Board or a member of the Zoning Board of Adjustment. The Board adopt rules and bylaws in accordance with the provisions of this chapter and of Chapter 160D of the North Carolina General Statutes (G.S. § 160D-302). Meetings of the Board be held at the call of the Chairperson and at the other times as the Board may determine. The Chairperson or, in his or her absence, the Vice Chairperson may administer and compel the attendance of witnesses by subpoena. All hearings held by the Board be open to the public.
