921.021 REIMBURSEMENT OF INCURRED REPAIR CHARGES DUE TO VILLAGE OWNED UTILITY BLOCKAGE, PLUG, FREEZING ETC.
   If a property owner or tenant incurs expense to restore water and/or sanitary sewer service to their property and it is discovered that the problem is in the Village owned portion of the utility; the Village will reimburse the property owner or tenant for charges incurred; or directly pay for the charges incurred in attempting to restore service, subject to the following conditions:
   (a)   The property owner or tenant must notify the Village of the interruption of service prior to calling an outside contractor and/or having work done on the utility.
   (b)   If it is determined the interruption of service is due to circumstances affecting both the customer and Village owned portions of the utility, each entity will cover their own costs incurred.
   (c)   Charges will not be reimbursed in cases of emergency and repairs as outlined in Sections 921.02(e) and 925.03.
   (d)   The Village will only reimburse charges that are billed for repairs necessary to remedy the problem and reasonable according to the standard in the industry.
