929.13 TAP CONNECTION PROHIBITIONS.
   (a)   In making tap connections to the sanitary sewer lines of the Village all septic tanks shall be bypassed. No sewage passing through a septic tank shall be discharged into the sanitary sewer lines of the Village. If the owner has an allowed septic tank on their property, and if the septic tank is no longer used, the owner must either remove the tank and backfill where the tank was located or break up the tank and fill it with sand. The owner shall allow the Village to inspect the process and site to ensure compliance with this section.
   (b)   No tap connections shall be authorized or be made to the sanitary sewer lines of the Village where the sewage to be discharged into the sanitary sewer lines passes through a septic tank.
   (c)   Where tap connections have been made to the sanitary sewer lines without bypassing of septic tanks, property owners shall have a period of ninety days within which to bypass their septic tanks with the sewage waters entering the Village sanitary sewer lines.
