In the event any building, structure, landscaping, plantings, fence or other exterior visible improvement is erected, installed, constructed, reconstructed, altered, maintained, or removed contrary to and in violation of the provisions of this chapter or any Design Review granted by a Design Review Board, then, in addition to or in lieu of the action as provided by this chapter, the Village Council, agent, other proper authority of the Village, or any aggrieved person may institute injunction, mandamus, or other legal proceeding to prevent such violation, to abate any illegal condition, or to cause the removal of any illegal structure or alterations by legal means.
