157.67 NATURE OF PROBATIONARY PERIOD.
   Each employee in the classified Civil Service shall serve a probationary period following an original appointment, either by certification or provisional appointment, and following each promotion. If following an original appointment his services are found unsatisfactory, he may be removed at any time after completion of the first half of the probationary period. A provisional employee may be removed for cause at any time. Whenever an employee is given a probationary removal, a written statement of the reasons for such removal, signed by the appointing authority, shall be furnished to the employee and the Commission.
