(a) The period of eligibility for an applicant on an eligible list shall be one year from the date the name was placed on the list.
(b) The Civil Service Commission may consolidate two or more eligible lists of same classification by re-arranging the names thereon according to the grades received.
(c) The appointing authority may request in writing that an eligibility list be extended for no more than six months.
