For the purpose of this chapter the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
(a) "Sidewalk" means the portion of a street lying between the established or presumable curb line and the adjacent property line, the portion set aside for pedestrian use.
(b) "Street" means that portion of the right-of-way between the back of curbs or where no curb exists, that portion which includes the width of the paved surface plus four feet each side thereof for drainage, that portion set aside for vehicular use.
