Council shall appoint and may remove the Law Director by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the full legal Council. He must be an attorney at law admitted to practice in the State of Ohio and need not be a resident of the Municipality. His salary shall be established by ordinance. He shall be the legal advisor of and attorney and counsel for the Municipality and for all other officers and departments thereof in all matters relating to their official duties. He shall represent the Municipality in all litigations to which it may be a party and shall perform such other duties as may be assigned to the office of Law Director by law as well as those imposed by this Charter. He shall on request prepare all contracts, bonds and other instruments in writing in which the Municipality is concerned and shall endorse on each, his approval of the form and corrections thereof. The Law Director shall have the right to employ additional legal counsel with the approval of Council.
