The village ESDA shall do the following:
A. Perform such ESDA functions within the village as shall be prescribed in and by the state ESDA plan and program prepared by the governor, and such orders, rules and regulations as may be promulgated by the governor. (1983 Code § 2-4-6)
B. Perform such duties outside the corporate limits as may be required pursuant to any mutual aid agreement with any other political subdivision, municipality or quasi-municipality entered into as provided by the Illinois emergency management act. (1983 Code § 2-4-6; amd. 2011 Code)
C. Anticipate, plan for, minimize probability of, minimize affects of, and maximize recovery from disasters which may occur in the village and allow for the resumption of its normal operations in the shortest time possible.
D. Take such action as may be required and justified under the circumstances to save human life, prevent immediate human suffering or mitigate major property damage or destruction.
E. Provide assistance to local communities and the county ESDA coordinator when the situation dictates. (1983 Code § 2-4-6)
