139.01 ORGANIZATION.

(a) The Police Department shall be composed of the following officers and members:

(1) One Chief of Police as the Mayor shall appoint with the approval of Council;

(2) One Police Sergeant as the Mayor shall appoint with the approval of Council;

(3) One Police Corporal as the Mayor shall appoint with the approval of Council; and

(4) Such full-time patrolmen and such part-time patrolmen as the Chief of Police may require, and the Mayor shall appoint with the approval of Council.
