Council has determined that in order to protect the public health, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the Village, it is necessary to require all contractors working on projects within the Village to register with the Huron Township Building Department and pay the required annual fee for said registration in accordance with Exhibit “A” attached to Ordinance 687-05-16 and expressly incorporated by reference herein. Each contractor performing work within the Village of Milan shall register with the Huron Township Building Department and meet its requirements before either a zoning permit or building permit is issued, if applicable. Furthermore, the Council designates the Huron Township Building Department as its agent for said registration, and adopts the annual fee schedule for said registration as the fee schedule for the Village’s contractor registration program. This program shall commence on July 1, 2016 for any work to be performed within the corporate limits of the Village of Milan, Ohio after that date.
