Before any permit for building, constructing, altering or repairing any building or structure is issued, the applicant shall furnish a bond satisfactory to the Building Inspector providing for the payment of any damages which may happen to any tree, pavement, street or sidewalk, or any pole or telephone or telegraph or light wire, for which repairs the Village may be held responsible, whether such damage shall be inflicted by such person or his agent, employees or workmen.
