The R-2 Residential District is established in recognition of the existing development. The district was subdivided into mostly sixty-six foot wide lots and approximately seventy-five percent (75%) of all lots have been developed. It is not the intent of this Zoning Ordinance to encourage the construction of very small structures on very small lots, but rather to permit such construction where the property owner does not wish to resubdivide into larger lots or combine existing lots in order to provide more open space about a residential structure.
