The Company shall comply with the highest standard of good engineering practice in the construction, operation and maintenance of the facilities contemplated herein, and shall take all reasonable precautions not to endanger or unnecessarily inconvenience the general public. Any obstruction in the public streets and sidewalks made by the Company in construction, operation and maintenance of its facilities shall be protected by the placement of adequate barriers and marked with warning lights during periods of dusk and dark. Any pavement broken or removed by the Company shall be promptly repaired or replaced at the Company's sole expense to the satisfaction of the appropriate Village officials.
