(A) Adoption of State Criminal Code regarding issuance of dishonored checks. M.S. § 609.535, subd. 1 through 8, inclusive, save and except such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified or amended by division (B) of this section, are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein. Not less than one copy of said statute has been and is now filed in the office of the City Manager/Clerk for use and examination by the public.
(B) Acts constituting a penalty. Whoever issues a check which at the time of issuance they intend shall not be paid, is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine not to exceed the maximum penalty authorized by state law, as set forth in § 10.99. In addition, restitution may be ordered by the court.
