(A) It shall be unlawful for any person or firm to engage in the business or occupation of pruning, treating or removal of trees within the city without first applying for and procuring a business license.
(B) The license fee shall be $25 annually in advance; provided, however, that no license shall be required of any public service company or city employee doing the work in the pursuit of his, her or its public service endeavors.
(C) Before any license shall be issued, each applicant shall first file evidence of possession of liability insurance in the minimum amounts of $300,000 bodily injury and $300,000 for property damage indemnifying the city of any personal injury or damage resulting from the pursuit of such endeavors as herein described.
(D) No license shall be issued to anyone unless all persons who will do the trimming, treatment or removal have reviewed the city's tree care specifications and agreed to comply with them.
(E) The city reserves the right to refuse to issue a license to any person who has violated any provision of this chapter or has not complied with the city tree care specifications. These persons may not receive a permit to trim, treat or remove city-owned trees for at least 2 years.
