Effective with the mailing of the certificate of completion, the city shall have a lien against the benefitted property for the cost of the removal and disposal of the abandoned storage tank plus interest at the legal rate as determined by the Kentucky Revised Statutes until payment is received. If the lien is not paid within 30 days, the City Clerk/Treasurer shall file with the Office of the Woodford County Court Clerk the certificate of completion as evidence of the lien against the benefitted property. The certificate of completion shall contain a statement of the lien.
