It shall be unlawful for any person to keep or maintain a house of ill fame or assignation, or to place for the practice of prostitution or lewdness, or to patronize or be an inmate of the same, or to let, own or be interested in any house, room or other premises, for any such purpose, or to keep a common, ill governed, disorderly house, to the encouragement of idleness, gaming, drinking, fornication or other misbehavior 1 .
