All city employees are at-will employees. This means there is no contract of employment, express or implied, and that either the city or the employee is free to terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause. The city's At-Will Employment Policy will only be varied by a specific written agreement that is entered into and signed by the City Commission and an individual employee. Therefore, nothing contained in this chapter, or any other document provided to the employee will be relied upon or interpreted to form a contract binding upon the city regarding any benefit, policy, procedure, or other term or condition of employment.
