§ 33.045 POWERS AND DUTIES.
   (A)   (1)   The Board of Exceptions shall have the power to hear and decide on applications for exceptions to the sign regulations of the city.
      (2)   The Board may impose any reasonable condition or restriction on any exception it decides to grant; provided, however, the Board shall have no authority to grant a variance or exception to a zoning regulation of the Louisville and County Planning Commission as adopted by the city, its jurisdiction being limited to the granting of an exception to its own adopted sign ordinance or regulation which would not conflict with county zoning regulations.
   (B)   (1)   The Board of Exceptions shall have the power to hear and decide cases where it is alleged by the applicant that there is an error in any order, requirement, decision, grant or refusal made by an administrative official in the enforcement of the sign regulations.
      (2)   This appeal shall be taken within 30 days by the filing of a written statement with the City Clerk styled “Appeal” and specifying the nature of the appeal. The pendency of an appeal shall not stay or delay any prosecution of any offense under the sign regulations and shall not constitute a defense to the prosecution of any charge.
