In accordance with the provisions of section 1008 of the Charter, there is established a Planning Board for the town consisting of seven members who are qualified electors of the town. Members shall be appointed by the Council for terms of three years (except that initial appointments under this division shall provide that two members shall serve for one-year terms and two other members for two-year terms). Any vacancy on the Board shall be filled by the Council for the remainder of the unexpired term. All members shall serve until their respective successors shall have been appointed.
