Permits issued under this subchapter shall be valid until the dates of expiration therein respectively provided except as hereinafter provided; and all work done pursuant to any permit shall be diligently prosecuted so that completion shall be accomplished without undue delay. If in the opinion of the Director of Public Works, the work covered by this subchapter is not in strict compliance with the specifications contained herein, the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to revoke said permit and issue a stop work order.
