§ 90.61 PERMITS.
   Persons desiring to breed one or more cats must apply to the Animal Control Officer for a breeding permit for each cat, which shall be valid for 12 months, or until the licensed cat is transferred, sold, or otherwise disposed of, whichever occurs first. The fee for each original or renewal cat-breeding permit is $100. Cat-breeding permits shall contain the following terms and conditions and are subject to the following requirements:
   (A)   No offspring may be sold or adopted and permanently placed until reaching an age of at least eight weeks;
   (B)   No offspring may be sold or adopted until immunized against common diseases, as determined by the Director of the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management in accordance with R.I. Gen. Laws Title 4, Ch. 4, so as not to be contagious or injurious to public health or to the health of other animals;
   (C)   Any permit holder advertising to the public the availability of one or more cats for adoption or sale must prominently display the permit number in the advertisement. The permit number must also be provided to any person adopting or purchasing any cat bred by the permit holder; and
   (D)   The permit holder shall adhere to minimum standards regarding the care and keeping of animals pursuant to R.I. Gen. Laws Title 4, Ch. 19.
