§ 71.09 WHERE PEDESTRIANS REQUIRED TO USE CROSSWALKS.
   (A)   No pedestrian shall cross any roadway within a business district except in a crosswalk. The term BUSINESS DISTRICT as used in this section shall mean the territory contiguous to and including a highway when within any 600 feet along such highway there are buildings in use for business or industrial purposes, including but not limited to hotels, banks or office buildings, railroad stations, and public buildings which occupy at least 300 feet of frontage on one side or 300 feet collectively on both sides of the highway.
   (B)   Where a marked crosswalk crosses a roadway anywhere within the town, no pedestrian within the distance of one block or less from such marked crosswalk shall cross such roadway except with such marked crosswalk.
