§ 37.080 ADVANCE SICK LEAVE.
   (A)   Advance sick leave, not to exceed four work-weeks, may be granted by the Town Administrator to regular employees after the first six months of employment in cases of serious disability or ailments when it is to the advantage of the town to do so. This authority may not be redelegated.
   (B)   Advance sick leave may be granted irrespective of whether the employee has annual leave to his credit.
   (C)   Requests for advance sick leave shall be submitted in writing stating the circumstances and the need for such leave, the time and date when the accrued sick leave will be exhausted, the amount of advance sick leave requested, and the date to which such leave will extend.
   (D)   Requests for advance sick leave shall be evaluated against the following considerations:
      (1)   The employee's past leave record.
      (2)   The nature, seriousness and extent of illness or disability.
      (3)   The probability of return to duty and prospect for continued employment.
      (4)   The probability of the employee liquidating the leave to be advanced.
