(A) Requests for annual leave shall normally be submitted in advance of the proposed absence. Approvals shall be determined consistent with the desires of the employee and the work requirements of the town; provided, that annual leave granted shall not exceed the total amount credited to an employee at the start of the leave period.
(B) Upon separation, an employee shall be paid for the unused portion of his accrued annual leave.
