351.08  BOARDING OR LEAVING STOPPED VEHICLES.
   (a)   No person shall enter or leave or open the door of a parked or stopped motor vehicle on the side of such vehicle next to moving traffic unless such person has exercised due care that such action can be made with reasonable safety, nor shall any person leave a door open on the side of a vehicle next to moving traffic for a period of time longer than is reasonably necessary to load or unload.
   (b)   Whoever violates any provision of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor on a first offense; on a second offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree; on each subsequent offense within one year after the first offense, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
