(a) Any person charged with a violation of any provision of this chapter for which payment of a fine may be made, may plead guilty and waive court appearance by paying a specified fine in the manner and amount prescribed on the issued traffic ticket. Such payment shall be deemed a plea of guilty, waiver of court appearance and acknowledgment of conviction of the offense alleged, and may be accepted in full satisfaction of the prescribed penalty for such alleged violation.
(b) The manner of payment prescribed by the traffic ticket may allow for payment of a lesser amount if payment is made within a specified number of days.
(c) The fine prescribed by the traffic ticket and the manner of payment specified thereon shall first be approved by Council.
(d) Payment of the fine prescribed on the traffic ticket need not be accepted when laws require that a certain number of such offenses require a court appearance.
