The position of Lead Wastewater Plant Operator / Lead Water Plant Operator ("Lead Operator") is hereby established, with the following responsibilities and duties:
(a) Qualifications. The Lead Operator shall have the following minimum qualifications:
(1) A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
(2) A valid State of Ohio drivers' license.
(3) A current Ohio EPA Water Supply Class II or Class III License;
(4) A current Ohio EPA Wastewater Treatment Works Class II or Class III License;
(5) Must be able to climb stairs and ladders without assistance; and
(6) Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
(b) Appointment. The Lead Operator shall be appointed by the Village Administrator with the recommendation of the Director of Streets and Utilities and the approval of the Mayor. Council, shall, by ordinance, set the compensation for the Lead Operator on an annual basis.
(c) The Lead Operator shall operate under the supervision of the Director of Streets and Utilities, and shall be responsible to perform such duties as shall be assigned to the Lead Operator by the Director of Streets and Utilities and/or the Village Administrator.
