With the approval of the Mayor and the Village Administrator, and with the advice of the Village Solicitor, the Chief of Police may prescribe rules and regulations for the operation of the Police Department and the conduct of all persons employed by or through the Police Department, which rules and regulations are referred to herein as the Departmental Policies and Standards.
