135.05 DIRECTOR OF STREETS AND UTILITIES.
   The position of Director of Streets and Utilities is hereby established, with the following responsibilities and duties.
   (a)   Appointment. The Director of Streets and Utilities shall be appointed by the Administrator with the approval of the Mayor. Council shall, by ordinance, set the salary for the Director of Streets and Utilities on an annual basis.
   (b)   The Director of Streets and Utilities, under the supervision of the Village Administrator, shall have the following responsibilities:
      (1)   Supervision of the improvement, maintenance and repair of all Village streets, avenues, alleys, lands, bridges, sidewalks, sewers, drains, ditches, culverts, streams and water courses.
      (2)   Monitoring and oversight of the Village’s waste water treatment and water plants and related equipment.
      (3)   Supervision of all expansion or improvement projects on the waste water treatment and water plants as authorized by the Council.
      (4)   Supervision of and assignment of work details to the employees of the Village Service Department for the maintenance and repair of all streets and utilities.
      (5)   Testing and reporting on the Village’s waste water treatment and water plants as may be required by municipal, county, state, or federal regulations, or as directed by the Village Administrator or Council.
      (6)   All responsibilities assigned to the Director of Streets and Utilities by Chapter 903 (Sewer System) and 911 (Water System) of the Codified Ordinances.
      (7)   All tasks relating to the municipality’s streets and utilities as may be directed by the Village Administrator.
