Unless employed by the Village or authorized by permit obtained from the Shade Tree Commission or the Village, no person shall:
(a) Plant, remove, destroy, cut, prune, fertilize, treat, break, climb, injure, or spray any tree existing on any public place in the Village or authorize any person to do so;
(b) Remove or tamper with any device placed for the protection of any such tree;
(c) Attach any rope, wire, chain, sign or other device whatsoever either to a tree or to any device placed for the protection of such tree, or
(d) Authorize or cause the acts set forth in subsections (a) to (c) herein to be done. (Ord. 87-130. Passed 9-8-87.)
