(a) If, in the judgment of the Director of Streets and Utilities, a commercial water consumer is a consumer of water in such a quantity that the consumer’s operations could be adversely affected by the water quality degradation which may result from a water main repair, a water break or from fire hydrant usage, the Director of Streets and Utilities may order the consumer to install an approved water filter device at the water service connection to the premises.

(b) The water consumer shall install, at the consumer's own expense, a water filter device of a size and type approved for the consumer by the Village Engineer.
(c) Failure, refusal or inability to install the device within ten days after receipt of any such order shall constitute a ground for discontinuing water service to the premises until such device has been installed and approved by the Superintendent.
(d) The use of the approved water filter at the water service connection does not in any way affect or eliminate the need for individual fixture devices or filters as required by the Ohio Building Code.
