911.05 PROHIBITED CONNECTIONS
   (a)    No person, firm or corporation shall establish, permit to be established, maintain or permit to be maintained any connection whereby a private, auxiliary or emergency water supply other than the regular public water supply of the Municipality may enter the supply or distribution system of such Municipality, unless such private, auxiliary or emergency water supply and the method of connection and use of such supply shall have been approved by the Director of Streets and Utilities and the Village Administrator.
 
   (b)    The Director of Streets and Utilities shall cause surveys and investigations to be made of all industrial and other properties served by the public water supply where private, auxiliary or emergency water supplies other than the public water supply are known to exist or where such supplies are likely to exist. Such surveys and investigations shall be made a matter of public record and shall be repeated as often as the Director of Streets and Utilities deems necessary.

   (c)    No person, firm or corporation shall establish, permit to be established, maintain or permit to be maintained any connection used for any business, commercial or industrial purpose that is not in compliance with the provisions of Chapter 911 of the Codified Ordinances or with the Planning and Zoning Code, Part Eleven, of the Codified Ordinances.

   (d)   No person, firm or corporation shall establish, permit to be established, maintain or permit to be maintained any connection used for any structure constructed on or after November 1, 2004 unless an Occupancy Permit or a Temporary Occupancy Permit for that structure has first been issued pursuant to Section 1140.11.
