The PI Planned Industrial District is provided in recognition of the fact that many industrial establishments seek to develop within unified industrial areas having all necessary services and facilities comprehensively provided in accordance with a predetermined development plan. As in the PC District, provisions of this zone are formulated to encourage a high degree of coordinated development upon well landscaped premises. Particular attention is devoted to design of the periphery of the development with the objective of compatibility with surrounding land uses.
