The City Manager is hereby authorized to implement a written policy concerning prior service credit for vacation and sick leave computation. A copy of the policy is attached to Ordinance 5796, passed July 6, 2004.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Pursuant to Ordinance 4461, codified above, and Ohio R.C. 9.44, the City Manager promulgated Administrative Directive No. 537, effective July 16, 1991, as follows:
This policy is made pursuant to Ohio R.C. 9.44 and City of Miamisburg Ordinance No. 4461 regarding the computation of vacation leave for City employees with prior public service. This is also to reflect, in part, the past practice of the City.
Employees who were employed by a municipal corporation within the State of Ohio are entitled to have their prior service with such municipality counted as service for the purpose of calculating vacation leave.
The City Manager may, at his or her discretion, permit newly hired employees to have some or all of their years of service counted as service for the purpose of calculating vacation leave.
