1226.04 STREET GRADES, ALIGNMENT, CURVES, SIGHT DISTANCES AND INTERSECTIONS.
   (a)   Grades. The grades of streets shall be a minimum of five-tenths of one percent on all streets and shall not exceed the following:
      (1)   Thoroughfares: six percent.
      (2)   Minor thoroughfares: seven percent.
      (3)   Local streets and all others: ten percent.
   (b)   Alignment. All changes in street grades shall be connected with vertical curves of a minimum length equal to twenty times the algebraic difference in the rate of grade for all streets.
   (c)   Horizontal Curves (Measured on the Centerline).
      (1)   Thoroughfare streets: minimum of fifteen-degree curve and 385-foot radius.
      (2)   Minor streets: ninety-degree curve and 100-foot radius.
      (3)   All other streets: fifty-eight degree curve and 100-foot radius.
      (4)   A minimum fifty-foot tangent shall be introduced between reverse curves.
   (d)   Sight Distances (Measured on the Centerline).
      (1)   Thoroughfare streets: 500 feet.
      (2)   All other streets: 100 feet.
   (e)   Intersections.
      (1)   The minimum radius at the property line shall be fifteen feet, or a ten-foot chord may be substituted in a business district.
      (2)   The radius at the curb shall be twenty-five feet.
      (3)   The minimum radius shall be increased when the smallest angle of intersection is less than sixty degrees.
