(a) The failure or omission to comply with any section or provision of this chapter shall be deemed a violation. Each day such a failure or omission continues to exist after a written notice of that failure or omission is mailed or otherwise delivered to the last known address of the alarm user or to the address at which the alarm system or telephone system is located shall constitute a separate violation.
(b) If any alarm system or telephone system produces four false alarms in any twelve- month period, a civil penalty of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) will be assessed to the alarm user.
(c) If any alarm system or telephone system produces five false alarms in any twelve- month period, a civil penalty of fifty dollars ($50.00) will be assessed to the alarm user.
(d) If any alarm system or telephone system produces six false alarms in any twelve-month period, a civil penalty of seventy-five dollars ($75.00) will be assessed to the alarm user.
(e) If any alarm system or telephone system produces seven false alarms in any twelve- month period, a civil penalty of one hundred dollars ($100.00) will be assessed to the alarm user.
(f) If any alarm system or telephone system produces eight or more false alarms in any twelve-month period, a civil penalty of one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125.00) will be assessed to the alarm user.
(g) Whoever fails to pay any of the above civil penalties within thirty days is guilty of a minor misdemeanor and shall be fined not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00).
(h) In addition to any fine imposed by the court, a twenty-five dollar ($25.00) administrative fee will be collected by the court. This fee will be deposited in a City account accessible to the Police Division to offset the costs of administering this chapter.
